North East Healthy Communities is the Primary Care Partnership (PCP) that represents the local government areas of Banyule, Darebin and Nillumbik.

The service providers that form North East Healthy Communities manage and control the partnership. All Members sign a legally binding agreement when they join.

The Governance Group

The North East Healthy Communities Governance Group is formed of seven representatives that are nominated and elected by the Member organisations of the partnership on an annual basis. Terms are staggered, with two positions vacated every year.

The Governance Group is elected every year at the June meeting.

The purpose of the Governance Group is to:

  • steward the collective effort of members;
  • oversee the development and monitor progress toward the North East Healthy Communities’ Strategic Directions;
  • support the development of governance systems and structures; and
  • provide strategic guidance on the delivery of PCP activity.

North East Healthy Communities acknowledges the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation as the traditional custodians of the land we work on. We pay our respects to their Elders both past and present and acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first people of this nation.
