Training in community and consumer engagement

Do you know an amazing staff member or volunteer who could benefit from formal training to complement their skills and talents in community and consumer engagement?

To support the inclusion of staff and community from seldom heard groups, North East Healthy Communities is offering free training to up to 50 people from member agencies to support the development of skills and confidence in consumer and community engagement.

Delivered by the Health Issues Centre, two face-to-face courses will be offered:

Course in Consumer Leadership (10946NAT) – April / May 2022

Graduate Certificate in Consumer and Community Engagement (10947NAT) – May / June 2022

Community workers, coordinators and team leaders can nominate staff and volunteers who could benefit from these unique training opportunities.

The courses will assist participants to obtain recognised qualifications and advance their work in community and consumer engagement and leadership.

Nominating organisations will be required to support participants with time to attend all training sessions and where applicable, study leave to complete assessment requirements (especially for the Graduate Certificate).
