Water Friendly Sports Challenge

Join the Water Friendly Challenge in 2019!

The Water Friendly Sports Challenge provides opportunities and recognition for sports and fitness venues that are promoting water in 2019.

It forms part of our broader Water Friendly Challenge which – as well as sports venues – is aimed at schools and workplaces.

All sports and fitness venues – including sports clubs, recreation centres, gyms and fitness venues – within the local government areas of Darebin, Banyule and Nillumbik are eligible to participate.

Participating sports and fitness venues have the chance to win $500 worth of sporting or fitness equipment of their choice.

How to get involved:

  1. Let us know you are planning on being Water Friendly at your sports or fitness venue in 2019: please register here.
  2. Click here for tips, ideas and support on becoming Water Friendly!
  3. Submit your entry: in 500 words or less, tell us what you’ve done to be a Water Friendly sports of fitness venue in 2019. To go in the draw, submit your entry via our online form. Entries close 1 November 2019. Accompanying attachments e.g. photos or relevant documents are welcomed, but not essential.
  4. Join the celebration! Celebrations will be organised in consultation with those participating.
